This article shows artwork collected by an art teacher within the prisons. Taking a closer look at the artwork, one can see many different aspects of life on the inside. You can see such emotion and sorrow within the drawings. One had a man half dressed in jail stripes, the other in regular clothes, wrapped up in caution tape. In addition to prisoner's artwork, the teacher himself took portraits of many of the inmates demonstrated yet another form of art--body art that is. “This guy before he took his shirt off warned me that his tattoos were considered some of the most racist in the prison. There’s the SS helmet skeletons.” Tattoos read ’100% Honky’ and ‘Aryan’. The artist also took photos of the conditions themselves within the prisons.
